Mary (Kessler) Weaver

Gettysburg, Pa.

 

 

 

 

 

Mary lives near Gettysburg. Her husband, Guy, is in an assisted care facility. How did they meet? “I had a girlfriend at work and her boyfriend lived with Guy’s parents. She brought me along up one time and that is how we met.” She worked at Middleburg Sewing for 34 years and Guy was a farmer. They are both retired.

 

Mary’s hobby is reading, and she likes to listen to Country and Blue Grass music. She is an active volunteer. “I do some church work such as helping at funeral luncheons and things like that, and I sing on the choir. I also help at the Bonneauville Fire Company at wedding receptions and other functions, and I belong to the Bonneauville C.W.V. auxiliary.”

 

Mary thinks about the good old days quite often.

 

She enjoyed, “Guy and I used to like to go to church picnics and carnivals before he became ill. He is in a home now.”

 

Her message to her classmates is …

 

“Just live one day at a time and try to be happy. It was a pleasure going to school with all of you, and take one day at a time.”
