Nancy (Orndorff) Laughman
Hanover, Pa.
Nancy, who is a widow, and her cat live in Hanover. She met her late husband, Maurice, in 1959 at a car dealership in New Oxford. They were married for 27 years. She has a daughter who is a middle school band director and a son-in-law who plays French horn with the Indianapolis Symphony and two grandsons, ages 8 and 11. She worked as a supervisor and is now retired. Maurice was a tool and die maker.
Her hobbies are bicycle riding, reading, crocheting, and knitting. She is an active volunteer at her church where she helps with meals, the nursery, etc.
Nancy has traveled quite a lot. Her daughter lives in Indiana, so she’s made many visits there to see her daughter and her family. Nancy has also visited Florida, Hawaii, Canada, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, and the Bahamas.
She enjoys attending high school sports events, symphony orchestra performances, plays, and events her grandchildren are in. She almost never longs for the good old days, but she did like the small stores, music, and wholesome TV shows of those times. She very much appreciates our modern communications, particularly computers and email.
Nancy is proud of …
“Having a wonderful marriage and daughter. Also doing three 600+ mile bicycle tours.”
Her message for her classmates is …
“Trust in the Lord. Proverbs 3: 5,6.”
