Betty (Shorb) Berwager
Hanover, Pa.
Betty and her companion, Charles, and their dog , Buttons, (Shih-Tzu) live in Hanover. She has two children and one grandchild. She worked at the Homewood Nursing Home and is semi retired. Her hobbies are camping, playing cards, going to plays, and shopping.
She feels the education we got at EHS was about the same as today’s public high schools. Mrs. Jones was her favorite teacher and Pearl Blettner got her vote as most effective teacher.
Betty has traveled quite a bit throughout the USA, and she’s also been to Hawaii, Canada, and Central America. She enjoys attending: NASCAR races, major league baseball games, live performances of major entertainers, flower shows, Broadway type musical performances, plays, and county fairs.
She sometimes thinks about the good old days when, “I wasn’t afraid to leave my house doors and car doors unlocked.” She does appreciate cell phones, computers, VCR’s, DVD’s, and the modern medicine of the 2000’s.
She is proud of …
“Raising my two children and taking care of my 85-year-old mother.”
Betty’s message to her classmates is …
“Take one day at a time, be safe, have good health, and enjoy this wonderful life we live in. God bless you all.”
