Overview of Requirements
All prospective employees of the Hanover Public School District must submit state-required clearances prior to employment.
- Existing Clearances: May be uploaded with your application if they were obtained within the last 12 months.
- Act 168 Forms: Must be completed with your current employer’s information, as well as any former employers where you had direct contact with children. The Human Resources Department will send the forms to your current/previous employers for completion.

Required Clearances & Instructions
- How to Apply: Select "Submit a New Record Check" on the website.
- Reason for Request: Select "Employment."
- Fee: $22.00 (payable via credit card).
- Important Note: To get the official document, click "Certification Form" to print the certificate featuring the large seal.
- Submission: Forward the official certificate to the Human Resources Department at the District Office.
- Provider: IdentoGO.
- Service Code: Enter 1KG6XN to begin.
- Registration: * Select "Schedule or Manage Appointment."
- Create a security question/answer (needed to view your unofficial report later).
- Note: The district does not provide an "Authorization Code" for payment.
- Identity Verification: You must bring an approved ID (Driver’s License, Passport, etc.) to your appointment.
- Locations: The closest site is LIU 12 (65 Billerbeck Street, New Oxford, PA), though you may choose any convenient center.
- Fee: $26.20 (paid at the enrollment center).
- Final Step: Provide the district with your "UEID" registration number or a copy of your registration page once fingerprinted.
- How to Apply: * New Users: Select "Create Individual Account" to create a KeystoneID.
- Existing Users: Select "Individual Login" and "Access My Clearances."
- Application Purpose: Select "School Employees Governed by Public School Code."
- Required Info: You will need your address history and a list of everyone you have lived with since 1975.
- Fee: $13.00 (payable via credit card).
- Timeline: May take up to 10 business days. You will receive an email notification when it is ready to print.
- Purpose: Ensures employees have not been convicted of prohibitive offenses under Section 111(e).
- Ongoing Requirement: You must complete and return this form to a school administrator within 72 hours of any arrest or conviction.
