The Hanover Athletic Booster Club, the Alumni Association of Hanover and Eichelberger High Schools and the Hanover Public School District, are partnering to create the Hanover Athletic Hall of Fame honoring athletes, teams, coaches and contributors from both Hanover and Eichelberger High Schools for their athletic accomplishments during High School. The initial class of inductees will be enshrined this winter during the 2016-2016 Basketball Season, and a new class of inductees will be subsequently inducted every two (2) years.

Athletes and teams become eligible for nomination ten years after graduation, while coaches become eligible five years after retiring from coaching. Plaques honoring each inductee will be permanently displayed on a Hall of Fame Wall near the High School Gym and a reception will be held prior to a home basketball game where the induction class will be formally presented.

Nominations will be accepted from anyone in the Hanover community via an online form (http://www.hpsd.k12.pa.us/athletic_hall_of_fame) and selection will be made by an 11 member committee made up of the Athletic director, current coaches, Booster Club and Alumni Association representatives, and community members. Nomination forms will also be available in the High School office. The deadline for submission of nominations for the inaugural class of inductees will be August 31, 2015.
