As we navigate the heart of winter, I wanted to take a moment to update you on our plan for snow make-up days, especially given the recent approval by our school board.

As you know, we were approved for five Flexible Instructional Days (FIDs) by the state of Pennsylvania. To date, we have used three of those five days. With winter only halfway over, there is a possibility that we may need to use the remaining two days—and potentially more.

If we exceed our five allotted FIDs, any additional make-up days will need to be in person. The first in-person make-up day will be Thursday, April 17th, which falls during spring break. While we hope not to need further adjustments, any additional make-up days beyond that will be added to the end of the school year, beginning with Friday, May 30th.

One important note: Graduation will remain on Thursday, May 29th, regardless of any further weather-related closures. That date will not change.

I appreciate your flexibility and understanding as we work through this unpredictable winter. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact your building administrator. Thank you for your continued support.

Stay warm and be safe.
